We did it!

It's funny how the little things you do with a newborn take SO much time. Today Abbie and I went on our first walk, just the two of us. It took me over an hour to get myself dressed, get her dressed, and get the stroller down the stairs. Not to mention getting her in the carseat and getting the carseat in the stroller! She pretty much screamed the whole hour it took to get going, but once we started walking she fell asleep. So I consider it a success! Surprisingly I don't have any newborn pants, so I had to put her in some size 3 months, and they swallowed her. I thought she looked like a little rapper (dressed in all pink) with her hooded sweatshirt and big pants!

She is sleeping pretty good and eating well for the most part. I think she might have some gas every now and then because she will cry for no reason sometimes. I have been told those little tablets for colic tend to work well. I have also heard the drops help. If any of you Mom's have input on that let me know.

Overall we think she is doing pretty good. Wes and I are realizing how overrated sleep is, for sure!! I am looking forward to the long weekend and having Daddy home for a few days!

Hey Shannon, Its Minga (Autumn's Mom). Abbie Grace is beautiful!!! You both are so blessed. I hope if you ever get to Florida I will get to met your family. I would love to make something special for Abbie. Could you send me your physical address so I can mail it to you. I look forward to see pic's, and hearing about your family. Autumn will keep me posted, I'm not good at the computer stuff. It is great to see how the Lord has blessed you. I know how little time Moms have so whenever you can just send your address, or give it to Autumn and she can get it to me. Love ya Minga

Let me know how the drops work for you...I may give them a try also. Isaac has been having evening fussing and cluster feeding marathons. Maybe the drops will help some.

We actually used the Natural Remedy Tummy Soother. It worked like a charm. I did find that when I started to really watch what I would eat, Owen did much better. I don't know if you're nursing or not...

Glad you were able to take her out for a walk. I have been taking Owen since he was Abbie's age and he loves going with me to this day. Kind of like reading. I started that when he was 3 days old and he LOVES to read books.

Love her rapper pants :)

The Mylicon worked pretty well - I think. She didn't fuss at all last night, which was my main objective, but today she has been off and on.

Awww so sweet.

We used the drops for Rylie. They seemed to work pretty well. Watch what you are eating because she could be getting gas from something like that. and one thing that really helped Rylie was to move her legs. Myron would lay her on her back and move her legs back and forth like she was running. It was so cute, she loved it, and it worked that air out.
