Girl Scout Cookies Be Gone!!!

I have fallen into the yearly trap of girl scout cookies - but it seems being pregnant is making it worse. Maybe not...maybe I just need something to blame it on, but seriously, it's bad. Wes hasn't eaten any. I, on the other hand, have proceeded to polish off almost two boxes of thin mints and am working on a new box of the chocolate peanut butter kind. The girl scout Mom's today asked me if I wanted to purchase a whole case of them! I proudly said no way - but had second thoughts immediately! I left the store in a hurry....
I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so I will let you know how that goes. Here is your 34 week belly picture....

The Nursery!!

Well, if you read my previous blog from Friday you saw that both of my grandmothers are out visiting, and we (really they!) have been working nonstop to help us get the nursery ready! We got the changing table put together yesterday and the sheers with tie backs. We are going to finish wallpapering the one corner of the wall this afternoon then everything will be done until the chair get here. There is also a small raised area in the room that is empty right now but we may get a toychest for that later. OK, enough chatting, here are the pictures!!

So I didn't take any pictures of the empty corner to the left of the door, but that is where the chair will go when we get it. Isn't it beautiful??!! I absolutely love the way it all looks! I keep going in there and just imagining our little girl sleeping and playing in this room. Getting it ready has made it even more real - more than it already is! I can't believe we only have about 6 more weeks until she will be here!

Here are a couple more pictures taken after church today. It is really sunny here, but not quite as warm as it looks!

Stay Tuned!!!

I just had to post real quick tonight because I am SO excited about the nursery! Both of my grandmothers came into town on Wednesday, and have been shopping and decorating our house and the nursery non-stop since they got here! Yesterday they got some curtain rods for the nursery, along with diapers (which we didn't have any of yet), a baby monitor, and a few other things. And today I took the day off and we went to BabysRus to get the crib mattress and some baskets to decorate the changing table. And the big news is we found a border at BabysRus that matches the bedding from Pottery Barn!! We had been thinking we were going to do bead board on the bottom section of the wall and then hand paint some daisies above, but now that we found the border, that will be all we need! I also quick shipped a few bedding items from Pottery Barn that arrived today because they wanted to get all the bedding together. So the curtain valances are hung, the crib is completely decorated with sheets, bumper, etc, and the wallpaper border is up!! Tomorrow we will put together the changing table. After that we will just have some pictures to hang and we will be waiting on the glider chair to arrive! I took some pictures today but I will wait to post them all tomorrow once we get the changing table up. Just know that if you want to see it please check back tomorrow or Sunday! I could not be happier with the way it looks right now and cannot wait to see how much better it will look tomorrow!! I also have two showers coming up, which I know will bring many more much needed items from the registry. It's just nice to be getting the room organized now, because I was starting to panic just a little!! : )

Welcome to the world!!

Whitley Elizabeth Hollamon was born Saturday afternoon to our friends Laura and Stephen! I met Laura when I worked for Eaton back in Asheville, and she quickly became one of my dearest friends. Some of you don't know her, but she knows a lot of you from reading your blogs! When she called me to tell me she was pregnant back in September, I had just found out that I was! So the birth of Whitley kind of marks the first of three of us Eaton girls, because next up is Elisa, who is due to have her little boy in April.

Congratulations to Laura and Stephen!!

Keaton's Big Day!!

I wanted to post this yesterday, but for some reason blogspot wasn't uploading pics! Anyways, last week Keaton Opie had his 1st birthday, and we all got to celebrate with him on Saturday! I can't believe it's already been a year. I wanted to first share some of my pictures from the last year....

Is he not just the cutest? He is such a sweet little boy and Wes and I just love him to death! We have enjoyed all the babysitting, camping trips, and just watching him grow! I think he enjoyed his party too....

Nice and clean after his bath!!

Happy Birthday Keaton!!

Monday's Rant...

If you don't want to hear whining and complaining, stop reading now....

OK, if you are still with me, let me just say Rachel was right. She was right about maternity clothes. That you outgrow them as you grow bigger. I didn't think she knew what she was talking about, but she sure did. I have officially grown out of at least 3 pairs of my maternity pants now. Ya know the new kind of maternity pants, some stores call them the "hidden panel", it's basically like elastic within the band. Well I bought a few pairs like that when I was in my 2nd trimester, and sure enough, now they are so tight I can't even breathe with them on!! The problem is that because of my height, I can't just go buy maternity pants for $30 bucks from Old Navy. I have to order them online, or go to the really expensive maternity stores to get them long enough. So now I am stuck with these maternity pants that I spent too much money on and I can't wear for the remainder of my pregnancy. Now the positive side to this is I will be able to wear them next time I get pregnant (God willing). But ya know, I can't really think about that right now. Now I just have to figure out how to get through the next 9 weeks with the clothes I have. I love skirts and dresses too, and have a few of those that are really comfy still, but it is winter out here for the most part, and wearing hose is not something I am enjoying right now either! SO maybe I can try to find some good deals as spring clothes come into style and winter goes out, and get some FULL panel pants. Those are the ones that fit the best people!! Not the hidden panels! So on that note, here is your belly pic for the week. Don't you love the shirt? Thanks Dawn!! And honestly I am not trying to complain about being big and pregnant - I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
