I feel like I could write a novel right now with all the details of our trip and my doctor's appointment, but I will try to condense everything! We had a great time on our "babymoon"! I had a training class in LA last Wednesday and Thursday, so Wes flew into LA Thursday night and we drove down to San Diego for the weekend. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and it turned out to be more of a beach vacation than just sight seeing! We went to Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Coronado Beach, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, to name a few! We drove along the Pacific Coast Highway and just dropped in on these little beach towns all over the place. We shopped and ate and walked and shopped and ate and walked some more! We were both totally exhausted by dinner each night, but it was well worth it. San Diego is an awesome city. We stayed downtown, but were within walking distance from the harbor, and about a 10 minute drive from the beaches. So lots and lots of fun was had. I am so glad we did it, and it was perfect timing, because waiting much longer may have been harder on me to get around! Anyone considering doing this before having a baby, don't just talk about it - DO IT!! It seemed it meant so much more because we know our lives will never be the same, and it's not like we dread that happening, but it can be a scary time and getting away together is just a great way to relax and reflect on everything with each other!

This morning I had my 27 (28 week by my book!) doctors appointment. It was the sugar test, which I had heard was awful, but it ended up not being bad at all. I drank the red stuff, it tasted exactly like Hawaiian punch, then they drew blood. I find out tomorrow if anything was abnormal. They said no news is good news, so I am hoping for no news! Other than that, he just measured me and listened to the heartbeat again, and all that was fine. I go in 4 weeks again, then I start every 2! It's hard to believe! It has all gone by so fast. I am honestly still feeling great, but bending over, getting my shoes on, etc, is getting a little more difficult. And I seem to get winded much easier. I actually received some nursery stuff from Pottery Barn - the bumper, bedskirt, and the curtain valances, last week, so now I am hunting for some furniture and the process will begin. Hope you all have a great week, happy valentines day, etc!!
